PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify information relating to a moving object without an influence of external factors.SOLUTION: A moving object specification system 300 includes; a structure 200 in which a rugged structure for generating a pseudo noise signal is formed at the contact surface to be brought into contact with wheels of a vehicle 150, in a movement direction of the vehicle 150; a vibration sensor 310 which detects the pseudo noise signal generated by contact between the vehicle 150 and the structure 200; and a control unit 330 having a computer installed therein. The control unit 330 specifies whether the moving object has passed or not, a passing time, a passing direction, a passing speed, and so on in accordance with vibration detected by the vibration sensor 310 and obtains position coordinates associated with a vibration pattern detected by the vibration sensor 310, through matching between the vibration pattern and vibration patterns registered with a database to regard the position coordinates as the current position of the vehicle 150.
