<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording device which can alleviate an impact during a cleaning operation, and which can shorten cleaning time while maintaining cleaning performance.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording device includes: cleaning means for performing a cleaning operation for rubbing a face 3a including a nozzle array of a recording head by the wiper by moving at least one of the recording head 3, and wipers 7, 8; detection means for detecting a relative position of the recording head and the wipers during the cleaning operation; and control means for switching between first control for controlling the speed when moving the recording head and the wipers to be constant, and second control for controlling a driving force when moving the recording head and the wipers to be constant, according to the relative position detected by the detection means.</p> |
