<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mill roll processing device capable of efficiently cutting a mill roll according to required processing accuracy.SOLUTION: A mill roll processing device is provided with a clamp apparatus 14 for clamping a roll stand 12 having a plurality of mill rolls arranged thereon. A tool rest 18 comprising a cutting tool and a fixed bite for cutting the outer peripheral face of each mill roll on the roll stand 12 clamped by the clamp apparatus 14 is movably configured in an XYZ-axis three-dimensional coordinate system. The cutting tool is composed freely exchangeably with a detection sensor 70, and the shape of the outer peripheral face of each mill roll at the rolling position of a caliber formed between the plural mill rolls is obtained by using the detection sensor 70. The difference between the obtained measurement shape of a caliber groove and a target shape is obtained by calculation. On the basis of a calculation result, the outer peripheral face of the mill roll is cut by moving the cutting part of the cutting tool exchanged with the detection sensor 70 at the rolling position of the caliber.</p> |
