Disclosed are a software updating method, device, and system. The software updating method comprises: a client sending local update software broadcast information to another client; and determining whether a reply indicating that update software exists is received, if yes, updating local software by using a client that sends the reply, and if not, updating the local software by using a remote server. According to the present invention, the problem that a transmission speed is restricted by an OTA server and congestion occurs in transmission of data in a software update process can be solved, thereby improving a downloading speed; therefore, software can be updated for a large number of devices at the same time, and the possibility that server congestion or crash is caused by demands of a large number of devices is avoided. |
