PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flux for single-sided submerged arc welding which can obtain a sound front bead shape and a sound mechanical performance.SOLUTION: The flux has a composition which contains Si, an Si alloy, and an Si oxide (in terms of SiO2 conversion value) : 6 - 12 mass% in total, CaO : 3 - 9 mass%, MgO : 15 - 35 mass%, TiO: 5 - 23 mass%, CaF2 : 2 - 10 mass%, Al2O3 : 5 - 23 mass%, Co: 2 - 9 mass%, NaO : 0.5 - 3 mass%, B2O: 0.1 - 1 mass%, Mo : 0.2 - 1 mass%, iron powder : 10 - 30 mass%, Mn : regulated to 0.9 mass% or less, Ti : regulated to 1 mass% or less, and Al : regulated to 3 mass% or less, and satisfies the following numerical expressions (I) - (III). |
