PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device allowing a narrower frame by the design of a gate driver circuit.SOLUTION: A gate driver circuit of a display device includes a shift register unit, a demultiplexer circuit, and n signal lines. The n signal lines each transmitting a clock signal are connected to one stage of the shift register unit, thereby outputting (n-3) output signals. Since the larger the n will be, the smaller a ratio of the signal lines transmitting the clock signal that does not contribute to the output, an occupied area of the shift register unit part is reduced in comparison to the conventional configuration in which one output signal is output to one stage of the shift register unit. This allows a narrower frame of the gate driver circuit.
