PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel internal fixation devices, such as bone plates, more specifically, novel craniomaxillofacial bone plates and systems for bonding the same, and further specifically, bone plates made of a polymer blend of (poly)lactic acid and Ecoflex as well as a novel hot-melt adhesive polymer of the same material.SOLUTION: An internal fixation device is made of a polymer blend containing a first polymer that contains PLA and a second polymer containing a polyester based polymer. |
