PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device capable of supplying stable voltage to a cooler and further suppressing temperature rise of a solid light-emitting element, and a lighting apparatus.SOLUTION: A lighting device 10 comprises: an AC-DC conversion circuit 3 for converting AC voltage into a first DC voltage; a DC-DC conversion circuit 4 for converting the first DC voltage converted by the AC-DC conversion circuit 3 into a second DC voltage; a cooler 12 for cooling a light source part 20 having a solid light-emitting element 21; a first control circuit 5 for controlling the AC-DC conversion circuit 3; and a second control circuit 6 for controlling the DC-DC conversion circuit 4. The AC-DC conversion circuit 3 has a chopper circuit 28. A power supply circuit 7 connected to an output side of the AC-DC conversion circuit 3, supplies power to the first control circuit 5 and the second control circuit 6. A second inductor L2 that is a secondary winding provided on a first inductor L1 being a primary winding in the chopper circuit 28, supplies power to the cooler 12. |
