PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map displaying apparatus, a program, a system and a method that can so control the reduction scale of map images as to improve the visibility of objects for a user.SOLUTION: A map displaying apparatus has object plane accumulating means that arrays a plurality of objects on a plane matching a map, so dividing the plane into rectangles that the number of objects or the quantity of data in each rectangle are substantially equal to those of others and accumulating the divided object planes; searching means that searches for a map image and an object plane to be displayed; object reduction scale adjusting means that controls, in accordance with the display range of a display unit, the reduction scale of object planes to be displayed near the center of the display range; map reduction scale adjusting means that so controls the reduction scale of the retrieved map images as to match the reduction scale of the adjusted object planes; and map image output means that outputs the map images adjusted in reduction scale over which each of the object planes adjusted in reduction scale is superposed. |
