PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesium ion-containing electrolytic solution with low oxygen reactivity.SOLUTION: An electrolytic solution 14 comprises: magnesium(Mg); halogen X(Cl, Br); boron (B), aluminum (Al) or phosphorus (P);a complex having the composition OCH. In an anion in the electrolytic solution 14, a center metal M has a strong bonding strength with the ligand (OCH). Therefore, the reactivity with oxygen is suppressed, and the oxidation and reduction of a Mg metal negative electrode 12 and a positive electrode material, and Mg ion's travel are enabled. On this account, the electrolytic solution 14 is easy to handle, and the electrolytic solution can be used for a magnesium battery 10 arranged to utilize the reaction with oxygen. |
