A stator (10) for a rotary electric machine has a tooth (14) whose width in a circumferential direction is substantially constant in a radial direction of the stator (10), and a concentrated winding coil (20) including winding conducting wires (21 to 26) around the tooth (14). A height (H2) of a first conducting wire (26) of the sixth turn at a tooth's (14) top end (15) side measured from a surface (17) of the tooth (14) is lower than a height (H1) of a conducting wire (25a) adjacent to a tooth's (14) root end (16) side of the conducting wire (26a) measured from the tooth surface (17). Conducting wires of the first to fifth turns, that is, second conducting wires (21 to 25), have the same height (H1) from the surface (17) of the tooth (14). |
