PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus, a shop system, and a program capable of displaying a guidance showing a word of caution per feature of an article (object) to be imaged by an imaging unit in an article learning process performed at a time of object recognition.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus includes: designation means designating a learning target article from article information related to sales registration; learning screen display means displaying a learning screen having a guidance display area for displaying a guidance showing a word of caution per feature of a shape of an individual piece of the learning target article designated by the designation means; capture means capturing an image of the learning target article picked up by imaging means; and learning means executing a learning process for extracting article collation data from the image of the learning target article captured by the capture means and for storing the extracted collation data in a dictionary as data for collation for the learning target article.
