<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency stop device and an elevator device, enabling exhibition of stable braking performance.SOLUTION: An emergency stop device is installed at the lower part of a rising/falling body which is raised/lowered by guiding with a guide rail, and includes a brake member equipped with a sliding surface for sliding on the guide rail, and an elastic body which imparts a pressuring force to the brake member so that the sliding surface of the brake member is pressurized against the guide rail. The sliding surface of the brake member is formed from an initial sliding member which slides on the guide rail during a period between initial sliding when sliding on the guide rail is started and stopping of the rising/falling body, and a late sliding member which slides on the guide rail during a period between late sliding after the initial sliding member is worn by a predetermined amount and stopping of the rising/falling body.</p> |
