<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement system capable of paying a correct cancelled amount.SOLUTION: The settlement system includes: a settlement device having a reception part for receiving a remittance for settling an amount based on a transaction; an identification part for identifying the remittance; a recognition part for recognizing an amount of the remittance; and an output part for outputting by associating identification information on the remittance with information showing the amount of the remittance. Further, the settlement system includes a registration device for issuing a medium recorded with information based on the transaction, and the settlement device has a reading part for reading information based on the transaction from the medium. The output part may output the identification information on the remittance associated with information showing the amount of the remittance when the information based on the transaction recorded in a second medium is read by the reading part during the settlement based on the information based on the transaction recorded in the first medium.</p> |
