FATTY ACID ANALOGS AND THEIR USE

Embodiments of novel fatty acid analogs, precursors of such analogs, pharmaceutical compositions including same, and methods of their use are disclosed. In several embodiments, the disclosed fatty acid analogs can be used to detect and monitor &bgr;-oxidation in cells and tissue, for example, in methods of detecting a tumor, such as a prostate tumor.
