The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for allocating an uplink pilot in a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) system. In an embodiment, a method (20) for use in the MIMO system is provided, including: acquiring an uplink channel estimation between a user equipment and a base station device (21); determining, based on the uplink channel estimation, a channel response of a main propagation path, where a channel response of any propagation path is represented as being correlated to a direction of arrival (DOA), time of arrival (ToA), and a path amplitude (22); and allocating, according to a set of DOAs of the main propagation path of the user equipment, an uplink pilot pattern to the user equipment (23). In some embodiments, different user equipments having no intersection of DOAs of main propagation paths with one another may use same uplink pilot resources repeatedly without causing interference to received signals. |
