PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the OS time in a normal power mode even in the case where an interval of OS timer interruption is extended when the normal power mode is switched to a low power mode.SOLUTION: When a non-printing state continues for a preliminarily determined time or longer in an image processor 1, a power-saving control task 11 switches the power mode of the processor from a normal power mode to a low power mode and multiplies a reference count value of an OS timer unit 52 and a count-up value of an OS timer interruption control unit 32 by N (N>1). When the OS timer unit 52 determines that the number of clocks generated from a clock generation unit 51 has reached the N-multiplied reference count value, an interruption generation unit 53 generates OS timer interruption, and the OS timer interruption control unit 32 adds the N-multiplied count-up value to the OS time stored in an OS time information storage unit 22.
