When there occurs a request for starting the engine 10, the motor generator 21 is rotationally driven, and after the diameter of a first pulley 16a of the CVT 16 is maximized and the diameter of a second pulley 16b is minimized, the motor generator 21 is rotationally driven, and cranking of the engine body 11 is performed.
