PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device of manufacturing a membrane electrode assembly which are capable of suppressing the occurrence of wrinkles and more improving the productivity.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a membrane electrode assembly comprises: a first forming process of forming a catalytic layer 13 of one of an anode and a cathode on a second surface on the opposite side of a first surface in a state where a support film 40 for supporting an electrolyte membrane in a stretched state is stuck to the first surface of a lengthy electrolyte membrane 11; a first sticking process of peeling a support member from the first surface of the electrolyte membrane and sticking a diffusion member constituting a diffusion layer 14 that diffuses a fluid constituting a fuel or an oxidizing agent required for the electrochemical reaction of a fuel cell to the second surface; a second forming process of forming an other catalytic layer 16 on the first surface; and a second sticking process of sticking the diffusion member to the first surface. The first forming process, the first sticking process, the second forming process and the second sticking process are performed by roll-to-roll. |
