The present invention relates to the field of communications. Disclosed are a carrier selection method and device for multi-carrier, so as to search out an optimum carrier combination with a low-complexity method. The method provided by an embodiment of the present invention comprises: obtaining an absolute radio frequency channel number (ARFCN), of each of N carriers allocated to a receiving terminal, on each frame of a wireless block, N being a positive integer and N=2; selecting different carriers from the N carriers as anchor carriers, and conducting a search within a search scope of the anchor carrier according to the ARFCN, of each carrier, on each frame of the wireless block and a maximum carrier frequency interval that the receiving terminal can support, to determine a carrier set of the anchor carrier; and selecting one or more carrier sets from the carrier sets of the anchor carriers of the N carriers as a carrier selection result. |
