摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# Impregnating resin formulation comprises component (a) comprising at least an unsaturated polyester resin, component (b) comprising an unsaturated ester resin with polyether structure, and optionally component (c) comprising further an unsaturated polymer or epoxy/hardener system, which is different from (a) and (b), and optionally component (d) comprising hardeners, accelerators, stabilizers, additives or rheology additives, where the components (a) and (b) are different. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The impregnating resin formulation is useful: for impregnation of electrical windings by dipping, trickling, dip-rolling, casting, vacuum impregnation and/or vacuum-pressure impregnation, followed by UV curing in combination with thermal curing; for producing base materials of sheet insulating materials; and for coating flat modules in electronics, hybrids, surface mounted device modules, and assembled printed circuit boards. The polyethylene glycoldisorbate, polypropyleneglycoldisorbate and/or polyethylene-polypropylene glycoldisorbate are useful as reactive diluents for impregnating resins (all claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The formulation is free from volatile organic compounds and comonomer containing unsaturated polyester resin. The formulation exhibits good curing behavior, and improved mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. #CMT#POLYMERS : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The formulation contains 20-80, preferably 40-50 wt.% of (a), 20-80, preferably 30-60 wt.% of (b), 0-40, preferably 10-30 wt.% of (c), 0.1-5, preferably 1-3 wt.% of (d), and 30-80, preferably 50-60 wt.% of fillers. The unsaturated polyester resin in (a) is modified with chains- or terminal imide structures (preferred), dicyclopentadiene structure, isocyanates and/or melamine resins. The unsaturated ester resin in component (b) comprises polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol and/or polyethylene glycol polyproylene glycol structure, where the terminal hydroxyl-groups are completely or partially esterified with unsaturated monocarboxylic acids, preferably polyethylene glycoldisorbate (preferred), polypropyleneglycoldisorbate and/or polyethylene-polypropylene glycoldisorbate. Preferred Process: The unsaturated polymer in (c) is produced by functionalization of polymers with double bonds containing molecules, preferably alkoxylated trimethylolpropane triacrylate, or from a mixture of epoxy resin with corresponding anhydride hardener. (a), (b) and (c) are curable by the addition of radical formers to thermosetting molding materials. #CMT#EXAMPLE : #/CMT# Unsaturated polyester resin (obtained by reacting neopentyl glycol (611 g), maleic anhydride (544 g), trimellitic anhydride (192 g) and a reaction product of tetrahydrophthalic acid anhydride (620 g) with ethanolamine, under nitrogen, at 180[deg] C in the presence of dibutyltin oxide (0.1 g) and hydroquinone (0.1 g) and distillating the remaining of condensation water) (1000 g), polyethylene glycol-600-disorbate (800 g), cobalt octoate (1 g), di-tert-butylphenol (1 g), and tert-butyl perbenzoate (20 g) were mixed to give a formulation with a viscosity of 1800 mPas, and a gel time of 18 minutes at 120[deg] C.</p>
