PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic toner that exhibits high blackness and has high tinctorial power, prevents the occurrence of chipping of the surface of a toner carrier due to the magnetic toner, and suppresses adverse effects on images, such as fogging and tailing.SOLUTION: There is provided a magnetic toner including magnetic toner particles containing a binder resin, and magnetic iron oxide particles, where a number average particle diameter of the magnetic iron oxide particles is 0.05 μm or more and 0.15 μm or less, and the relationship between the number average particle diameter (μm) of the magnetic iron oxide particles and the specific surface area (m/g) of the magnetic iron oxide particles satisfies the following formula (1): [number average particle diameter]×[specific surface area]≤1.10. |
