PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of easily obtaining an accurate optical element using a drawing method.SOLUTION: A base material for an optical element is used for manufacturing, by drawing processing, an optical element that has, as a part of the outer surface, an optical surface including an effective area satisfying optical performance. The base material for the optical element includes a first bent section. The first bent section is disposed in a part other than the curved surface corresponding to the optical surface, and is formed by the drawing processing so that the cross-sectional shape becomes a target cross-sectional shape. |
