PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of suppressing a deviation between a toner image formed on an image carrier of an image forming part which does not form an image by a mono mode and the toner image formed on the image carrier of the image forming part which forms the image by the mono mode.SOLUTION: An image forming device 100 includes: a plurality of image carriers 1Y, 1M, 1C, and 1K; a belt 51 for transferring toner images to a transfer material from the plurality of image carriers; and a control part 150 for driving the plurality of image carriers. A toner image is formed on the predetermined image carrier 1K from among the plurality of image carriers and not formed on the other image carriers 1Y, 1M, and 1C. A mono mode can be executed for forming an image of the predetermined image carrier 1K only. The control part 150 causes the other image carriers 1Y, 1M, and 1C to be separated from the belt 150 when executing the mono mode, and starts synchronously driving the plurality of image carriers 1Y, 1M, 1C and 1K while contacting the predetermined image carrier 1K to the belt 51.
