<p>An insert suitable for fitment within a road-embedded housing 1 of a reflective road marking device. The insert comprises a base 11 having a recess (16, Fig 2) configured to engage with a projecting lug 4 within a cavity of the road-embedded housing to retain the base within the housing. The base 11 has a first coupling member (19, Fig 2). The insert also comprises a upper component (12, Fig 4) detachably engageable with the base wherein the upper components 12 comprises a lower surface (21, Fig 3) which includes a second coupling member 22 detachably engageable with the first coupling member (19, Fig 2) of the base. An upper surface (15, Fig 3) of the upper component 12 includes a visibility enhancing element 14. Preferably, the upper component includes a solar panel 26. Also, the upper component may include a battery, a light detector 28 and a light emitting diode 27.</p> |
