<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the size of a storage area used by control means which does not stop operation in a power saving state, and also to lengthen a time period when control means which stops operation in a power saving state maintains a power saving state. <P>SOLUTION: In an image formation device 10, when it becomes necessary to perform periodic transmission of data, a main system M (main controller) determines whether or not the periodic transmission is necessary to be continued in a power saving state, and if it is determined necessary, transmits control information for controlling the periodic transmission determined to be necessary to a subsystem S (sub-controller) and have the control information stored in an RAM 123.
