<p>Disperse dyes of formula : (where X is H, NO2, Cl or carbalkoxy; Y is H, Cl, NO2 or CN; R1 is H or Cl; R2 is H or SO2NH2 and R3 is H, Cl or SO2NH2) are used to dye polyamide and polyester fibres from organic solvents, pref. from chlorinated hydrocarbons. The fibres may be in the form of threads, flat goods and textiles. The organic solvent bath may contain a solubilising auxiliary. Dyeing may be batchwise or continuous. The final stages in the prepn. of the dye, necessary if the dye is to be used from an aqs. bath, can be omitted. Dyeing is more uniform than from an aqs. bath. Better dye yields are obtained.</p> |
