[Class 115] A davit 4 pivoted at 5 is luffed by a strut 7 pivoted at 6 and co-operating with the davit at 9, the strut 7 being rotated about its pivot by a link 15 connected to worm and worm-wheel mechanism 11, 12. Rollers 9 on the end of the strut engage opposite sides of the davit and limit the extent to which it can be rotated. The gearing 11, 12 is mounted on the davit. |
