<p>To the reduction furnace 2 to which zinc-containing iron oxide or zinc oxide or iron oxide is supplied, there is supplied at least one of ASR, shredder dust of home electric appliances, waste plastics, refuse-derived RDF, RPF, sludge, oil mud, chips of wood, thread debris, rubber debris, and animal and plant residues, as the waste which is effective as the seducing material and functions as the heating material of generating heat necessary for reduction, thus the reduction treatment is performed with the use of the material as the heat source and without using auxiliary fuel, and thereby metallic iron is obtained by the reduction of zinc and/or iron oxide while the reduction of the treatment cost (reduction of the running cost by the amount of not-using auxiliary fuel) being performed.</p> |
