A retractable handle arrangement 1 for a vehicle, or a method of operating such a handle arrangement. The handle arrangement comprises a handle pivotally mounted about a pivot axis, the handle being movable between a stowed position and a deployed position. A drive means or mechanism 18 is provided to move the handle from the stowed position to the deployed position. The handle may have an operating member 28 which is engaged by a first lever arm 38, driven by the drive mechanism, to move the handle from the stowed position to the deployed position. The operating member may further engage a second lever 42 arm when the handle is moved from the deployed position to an operative position. The drive means may be actuated in a first direction to move the handle about the pivot axis between the stowed position and the deployed position. |
