PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite sintered compact low in the variation rate of the inductance in a broad temperature range (for example, -40 to 125°C); and to provide an electronic component having a ferrite core constituted of the ferrite sintered compact.SOLUTION: The ferrite sintered compact includes iron oxide, zinc oxide, copper oxide and nickel oxide. The ferrite sintered compact has a spinel phase and a zinc oxide phase, wherein the content of zinc oxide in the ferrite sintered compact is ≤40 mol% in terms of ZnO; and if the ratio of the peak intensity of X rays diffracting at the (100) plane of the zinc oxide phase to the total of the peak intensity of X rays diffracting at the (311) plane of the spinel phase and the peak intensity of X rays diffracting at the (100) plane of the zinc oxide phase is taken as a deposition amount of the zinc oxide phase, the deposition amount is ≤1.1 wt.%. |
