<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the number of divisions of key area and a dividing position, with operation which more matches human feeling. <P>SOLUTION: When the dividing position is changed in a state in which a keyboard 5 is divided into two, a key at a position corresponding to a dividing position on the keyboard is pressed. When the dividing position is changed to a state in which the keyboard is divided into three, two keys surrounding the key of the former dividing position are pressed at the same time, or one of keys to be pressed at the same time is made to be a key for indicating a dividing position.
