<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device that performs reduction processing of the amount of coloring material to be used with a reduced operation amount without deteriorating image quality. <P>SOLUTION: An AM dither processing part 106 compares an input value of a position of interest and a threshold of an AM dither matrix 109. If large dots are observed to be generated as a result of the comparison at a position immediately before and immediately above the point of interest, a dot rewrite processing part 110 rewrites the large dots into small dots in reference to a dot rewrite matrix 113, provided the rewriting is allowed at the position of interest. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
