<p>A method for authenticating a user operating a user device comprises; providing a number of images for display on the user device; receiving a plurality of the image as input from the user device; verifying the authenticity of the user if the input matches a pre-determined password or passcode of the user. The images might need to be input as a sequence in the correct order. The number of images available for display might be greater than the number actually displayed. The images might be pictures or photographs of people known to the user, and these photographs might be extracted from a social media service or application. A message might be transmitted to the user as a result of successful verification. Also claimed is a user device and a server that perform this method.</p> |
