<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cowl louver capable of improving pedestrian protection performance, wherein a load on a hood seal part is lowered and also a load on a connection plate is lowered when there is an input from above. <P>SOLUTION: This cowl louver 10 includes a cowl louver body 20 and a connection plate 40. The connection plate 40 includes a flat plate part 50 and a chevron part 52 protruding from the flat plate part 50 in a vehicle right-left direction. A top part 58 of the chevron part 52 is inclined relative to the flat plate part 50 so that a protruding amount in the vehicle right-left direction from the flat plate part 50 is reduced from an upper part 54 of the chevron part 52 toward a lower part 56. The upper part 54 of the chevron part 52 is extended more than the lower part 56 by a load F1 to the hood seal part 30 to lower the hood seal part 30, and the load F1 is thereby reduced. Because the connection plate 40 is inclined when the upper part 54 of the chevron part 52 is extended, a load F2 on a connection plate upper side is also reduced. The load F2 extends the chevron part 52, and the load F1 is thereby further reduced.
