<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator apparatus in which it can be detected that a governor rope 9 of an elevator is caught by an instrument or the like in a hoistway because of an earthquake or the like, even when the governor rope 9 gets longer due to long-term use and a tension pulley 8 descends. <P>SOLUTION: A descent permission device 36 for permitting the downward movement of the tension pulley 8 and restricting the upward movement thereof and an ascent permission device 44 for permitting the upward movement of the tension pulley 8 and restricting the downward movement thereof are arranged in series between the tension pulley 8, which is driven synchronously with the movement of the governor rope 9 connected to a car 2 of the elevator, and a guide rail 20. As a result, a descent of the tension pulley 8 due to the long-term use can be absorbed by the descent permission device 36 and it is detected, by the ascent permission device 44, that the governor rope 9 is caught by the instrument or the like in the hoistway. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
