<p>Wood preservative of U- and UA-salt type, as in parent patent, has part of Cr added as chromate replaced by other fluoride- and arsenate-fixing metals esp. Fe (III) and T1(III) cpds. These are added (partly) as (hydrated) oxide or hydroxide and opt. as carbonate or chromate, while alkali metal chromate is (partly) replaced by CrO3 or chromates of above metals. Electrical conductivity of treated wood is minimised and resistance to moulds and insects increased.</p> |
