<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and the like that can cope with many kinds of languages. <P>SOLUTION: A PC stores fonts for a variety of languages. It receives string information from a communication device. It accepts selection of change object string information which is an object whose language kind is changed from received string information. It determines whether or not a font corresponding to the kind of language after change is stored in a font information storage area in a multifunction peripheral (MFP). If it determines that the font corresponding to the kind of language after change is not stored in the font information storage area in the MFP, it selects the font corresponding to the kind of language after change from fonts stored in a font information storage area of its own PC, and generates a character string image imaging change object string information by use of the selected font. It transmits the generated character string image to the MFP.
