<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlamp apparatus that properly controls a position of a vehicle when the number of vehicles running ahead is large. <P>SOLUTION: The headlamp apparatus 100 can vary a light distribution pattern according to a mode of presence of vehicles running ahead. The headlamp apparatus includes: a forward vehicle detection means 11 that detects forward vehicles and estimating positions of only vehicles in right and left ends among a plurality of vehicles running closely ahead of host vehicle; and a lighting area control means 12 that illuminates a forward area other than a series of light distribution areas ranging from a position where the right end forward vehicle is present, to a position where the left end forward vehicle is present. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
