A portable terminal includes: an opening and closing portion that opens and closes; an open and close detecting unit that detects open and close of the opening and closing portion; a first processing unit that executes a first process while the open and close detecting unit is detecting that the opening and closing portion is open; and a second processing unit that executes a second process when the open and close detecting unit detects that the opening and closing portion has been closed, and the second process is a process with respect to an execution result of the first process.
