<p>On the basis of a leading audio waveform during a leading audio interval, being earlier than a hiatus interval in which an audio signal DAD is interrupted, and a trailing audio waveform during a trailing audio interval, being subsequent to the hiatus interval, a waveform prediction part 142 calculates a predicted waveform in a waveform prediction interval that successively includes the hiatus interval, a leading overlapping interval that overlaps the leading audio interval, and a trailing overlapping interval that overlaps the trailing audio interval. On the basis of the leading audio waveform, trailing audio waveform, and predicted waveform, an audio output signal generation part 143 generates an audio output signal AOD having a waveform obtained by weighted averaging of the waveforms of the audio signal DAD and the predicted waveform during the leading overlapping interval and during the trailing overlapping interval, and having the predicted waveform during an intermediate interval between the leading and the trailing overlapping intervals. As a result, it is possible to generate an audio output signal that can minimize any feeling of discontinuity for the listener.</p> |
