<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input/output device and an image forming apparatus in a simple configuration in which a control unit controlling input and output of data to and from a storage medium is automatically reset to an initial state when the control unit cannot respond. <P>SOLUTION: An input/output device includes: first connecting portions 74 to 78 to which at least one storage medium is connected; a first control unit 70 controlling input or output of data to or from the storage medium connected to the first connecting portion; second connecting portions 80 to 84 to which at least one storage medium is connected; and a second control unit 72 controlling input or output of data to or from the storage medium connected to the second connecting portion. When one of the first control unit 70 and the second control unit 72 does not respond, the other of the first control unit 70 and the second control unit 72 outputs a signal for resetting to an initial state to the control unit that does not respond. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
