<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide microfluidic technology. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention provides microfluidic technology enabling rapid and economical manipulation of reactions on the femtoliter to microliter scale. This invention provides a method of conducting a large number of reactions in parallel, such as crystallizations or assays, allowing rapid and economical reactions. This invention is particularly well suited for crystallization of proteins, biomolecules, complexes of biomolecules with bound ligand, etc. This invention allows direct testing of the diffraction quality of crystals.
