<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set a mode determination condition for setting operation modes according to a requirement of a user, in a printer having the two operation modes of a first operation mode and a second operation mode which is lower in speed and reduced in noise more than the first operation mode as the operation modes for printing an image on a medium to be printed. <P>SOLUTION: By displaying a screen of Fig.4 (A) of the liquid crystal display 9A of an operation panel and rewriting a table of Fig.4 (B) which is stored in an NVRAM, the mode determination condition in which a silence mode is set can be set according to whether an interface which receives a print job is a USB or a LAN, whether a job attribute is a facsimile telegraph, mail, PC-print, a copy or the like, and so forth, and also according to the requirement by combining a time period or the like at which printing is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
