The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a nickel-titanate visible light-active photocatalyst using microwaves and a visible light-active photocatalyst and, more specifically, to a nickel-titanate visible light-active photocatalyst which includes titanium sources and nickel salt and has a complex hierarchical structure of an oval shape, nano-prism shape or a nano-rod shape. Additionally, the method for manufacturing a nickel-titanate visible light-active photocatalyst comprises: (a) a step of mixing titanium sources and nickel salt at a mole ratio of 1:1; (b) a step of treating a mixture with microwaves having an intensity of 60 Hz 1000-1100 W for 150-250 seconds; and (c) a step of washing a precipitate produced by microwave treatment, drying the precipitate and plasticizing the precipitate. The nickel-titanate visible light-active photocatalyst and the method for manufacturing a nickel-titanate visible light-active photocatalyst are able to effectively decompose and remove environmentally harmful organic compounds by exhibiting effective photocatalyst functions in a visible light area. |
