<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure, which is hardly broken when mounted in a canning case or due to positional deviation, and a gas treatment equipment having the honeycomb structure.SOLUTION: A columnar honeycomb structure 1 is made of oxide ceramics and comprises: an outer wall 2; a plurality of partitions 3 disposed on the inner side of the outer wall 2, and a sealing member 4. A space enclosed either by the outer wall 2 and the partitions 3 or by the partitions 3 is a passage 5 for a fluid, the inlet or outlet of which is sealed by the sealing member 4. The outer wall 2 is curved inward at a central portion along the longitudinal direction.</p> |
