PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration restriction device for a structure capable of performing an appropriate transmission of a displacement of the structure to a mass damper, increasing an amount of rotation of the mass damper and subsequently performing an appropriate restriction of vibration of the structure.SOLUTION: In this vibration restriction device, each of one end and the other end of a first supporting member is connected to a first portion of the upper end part of a structure and a main body of a mass damper and a displacement of a movable part in respect to the main body is converted into a rotational motion of a rotating mass. In addition, a second member of a second supporting member is fixed to a second portion of the structure through the first member. First to fourth pulleys is fixed to each of the second member, the upper and lower end parts of the main body and the second portion, respectively. A first cable has its one end connected to the upper end part of the movable part and the other end part connected to the second member, respectively and the first cable is wound around the first and second pulleys. The second cable has its one end connected to the lower end part of the movable part and the other end part connected to the second portion, respectively and the second cable is wound around the third and fourth pulleys. |
