PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR valve control device for an internal combustion engine which includes an EGR valve device for controlling an EGR gas amount with the energization of a step-motor, for suppressing combustion deterioration when starting the energization of the step-motor.SOLUTION: The EGR valve control device is applied to the engine which includes the EGR valve device for controlling the EGR gas amount with the energization of the step-motor. While it cuts the energization of the step-motor during engine stop, it starts the energization of the step-motor at starting the introduction of EGR gas. When an energization cutting time tc for cutting the energization of the step-motor is longer, an EGR opening correction amount initial value Dis set to be greater than when the energization cutting time tc is shorter. Then, the EGR gas is introduced while correcting the EGR gas amount to be reduced. |
