<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device capable of appropriately performing format processing of a region for recording a user data.SOLUTION: The information recording device includes: a recording medium which has a data region for recording data; and a controller that controls the recording of data in the recording medium. Responding to a request to execute the format processing on the data region of the recording medium, the controller controls to record a piece of format information relevant to the format processing in a non-volatile recording section different from the data region without recording the data for format processing in the data region.</p> |
