PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method for providing a high image quality of the resulting image.SOLUTION: There is provided an image recording method which comprises: a step of applying ink containing a pigment to a recording medium; and a step of applying a liquid composition for destabilizing a dispersion state of the pigment in the ink to the recording medium so that the liquid composition at least partially overlaps the region where the ink is applied. The ink contains resin particles and at least one selected from a compound represented by the general formula (1) and a compound represented by the general formula (2), the content of the resin particles is 3 mass% or more and 20 mass% or less based on the total mass of the ink and the content of the resin particles based on the total mass of the ink is 1 time or more and 10 times or less in a mass ratio relative to the content of the surfactant in a mass ratio. |
